Team OWHA stands strongly with Team Canada with encouragement and support at the U18 Women’s World Championship - one of the top sporting events in the entire world. We congratulate the players and staff who have worked so hard to earn a spot on the team and who are incredible role models both on and off the ice.
We also take this opportunity to congratulate all participants on all teams and thank the IIHF for its support of this event and women’s hockey.

As OWHA celebrates its 50th year growing strength and credibility for women’s hockey and sports and in building strong athletes and citizens at all levels of the game, we acknowledge the amazing OWHA players, staff and teams who won gold medals at 15 straight U18 National Women’s Championships. Many people contribute to the journey of these outstanding people and they include family, friends, teammates, opposing teams, officials, role models and others, with a strong commitment to excellence from the participants themselves.
This is truly a time to celebrate women’s hockey and women’s sports and everything these programs do to bring strong people as leaders throughout the world.
Thank you to each person who has participated and supported women’s hockey both within the past 50 years and before the OWHA was formed. You have left a legacy and you are appreciated.
