OWHA U18 HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
PLEASE FIND BELOW INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE OWHA U18 HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM AND EVENTS
The OWHA U18 High Performance Program provides selected OWHA athletes an opportunity to participate in an OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp, and possibly be selected to attend the U18 National Championship in November 2025.
The OWHA U18 HP Summer Development/Selection Camp in July 2025 is by INVITATION ONLY, and this is NOT an APPLICATION PROCESS.
The OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp is for registered OWHA athletes only. Please review below.
DATE AND LOCATION OF OWHA U18 HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMER DEVELOPMENT/SELECTION CAMP
Date: July 10th to 13th 2025
Location: Nottawasaga Resort, Alliston Ontario
DATE AND LOCATIOIN OF 2025 U18 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Date: November 3rd to 9th 2025
Location: Mount Pearl and Town of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador
WHAT AGE GROUP OF ATHLETES QUALIFIES TO BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE OWHA U18 HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMER DEVELOPMENT/SELECTION CAMP IN JULY 2025
Players invited to attend this camp will be born in the years 2008 and 2009 ONLY.
HOW ARE THE ATHLETES SELECTED TO ATTEND THE OWHA U18 HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMER DEVELOPMENT/SELECTION CAMP
Athletes will be identified and selected to attend the OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp through extensive scouting, and evaluation performed by the OWHA Lead Scout and his team of evaluators in the 2024-2025 season.
Athletes will be scouted and evaluated at OWHA, and Hockey Canada sanctioned events.
Successful athletes selected through this scouting and evaluation process will be notified of their acceptance to attend the OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp by June 10, 2025.
Only athletes selected to attend this camp will be notified by the OWHA. If an athlete does not receive a notification from the OWHA by June 10, 2025, then they were not selected to attend this camp.
APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF ATHLETES THAT WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE OWHA U18 HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMER DEVELPOMENT/TRYOUT CAMP
The OWHA will invite approximately eighty OWHA registered athletes to attend the OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp in July 2025.
Athletes must be registered with and play on an Ontario Women’s Hockey Association team during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons to be eligible to attend the OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp.
HOW MANY TEAMS WILL THE OWHA SELECT TO ATTEND THE U18 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The OWHA will select two teams to attend the U18 National Championship in November 2025. The teams will be identified as Team Ontario Blue and Team Ontario Red.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON BEING SELECTED FOR TEAM ONTARIO BLUE AND TEAM ONTARIO RED
The OWHA will identify a select number of athletes out of the OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp who will be considered for Team Ontario Blue and Team Ontario Red.
Athletes who were invited to attend the OWHA U18 High Performance Summer Development/Selection Camp will have their on-ice performance monitored up until the final selection of the two teams.
Only athletes who were successful in making one of the two teams will be notified on or before the date of September 30, 2025. Once again if an athlete does not hear from the OWHA by September 30, 2025, then you were not selected for Team Ontario Blue, or Team Ontario Red.
The OWHA reserves the right to bring athletes into the final selection process of the two teams at any time.
WILL SUCCESSFUL ATHLETES BE BROUGHT TOGETHER FOR A PRECAMP(S) BEFORE THE U18 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
YES - the OWHA will have a pre camp(s) for Team Ontario Blue, and Team Ontario Red. Details of camp(s) will be forwarded to athletes upon notification of being selected to Team Ontario Blue, and Team Ontario Red.

WHAT DOES THE COST OF THE OWHA U18 SUMMER DEVELOPMENT/SELECTION CAMP COVER
Accommodations, meals, hockey sweater, ice time, on/off ice official costs, staffing expenses for camp.
NOTE: Notwithstanding the above, the OWHA reserves the right to make changes and decisions as deemed appropriate by it.
