ESSO FUN DAYS
ESSO FUN DAY PROGRAM | BACKGROUND
The Esso Fun Day (EFD) program began in 1998 and was designed to provide new-to-hockey participants with basic skills in a fun, positive and welcoming environment at no cost to the first-time participant. Programs can be delivered to girls and women of all ages, so players can experience the sport early and enjoy the game for a lifetime.
There are five Esso Fun Day formats:
- one day on-ice and/or one day off-ice
- six-week on-ice sessions and/or six-week limited ice sessions
- Signature Event - varies based on event
Reimbursement & Swag:
- $400 reimbursement to hosts for one-day programs
- $800 reimbursement for six-week programs
- Jerseys and blue pucks for all participants
Esso Fun Days are led by host Local Hockey Associations (LHA), with the goal of creating excitement and enthusiasm amongst participants AND the intention of increasing registration numbers.
